Quarter is a coming-of-age comedy-drama about Kelly, a young woman living with Type 1 diabetes who’s about to turn 25, as she deals with the ups and downs of her blood sugar levels and the ups and downs of her personal life.
Cast: Kelsey Bascom, Ali Wentworth, Brooke Shields, Raven-Symoné, Breckin Meyer (Garfield, Rat Race), Tati Gabrielle (You, Uncharted), Eric Roberts (Babylon, Runaway Train), Mindy Sterling (Austin Powers), Brec Bassinger (Stargirl), Dot-Marie Jones (Bros, Glee), Matty Cardarople (Stranger Things), and Derek Theler (American Gods).
Kelsey Bascom wrote Quarter based on her own experiences as a young woman living with Type 1 diabetes, with the intent of creating an intimate and very personal film, that also raises awareness for T1D, that is often misunderstood and certainly misrepresented in film and television.
The film has a strong message of female empowerment, finding your voice and learning to overcome whatever obstacle, or in this case disease, life throws at you.
